Goosebumps review: A little dragging thriller but manages to keep the readers engrossed. Goosebumps at times, but can’t guarantee for every reader.

(3.8 / 5)

The story is a sequel of Private India one of the bestsellers during the time of its release. James Patterson has joined hands with India’s Dan Brown Ashwin Shangi for the second time. The narration was good, both the authors have equal contribution.

The second half of the novel was great it keeps the readers engrossed into the pages. The chapters were small and easy to read. The language was lucid and both authors never annoyed us by showcasing their vocabulary mastery. They have used simple words which increases the joy of reading.

The characterization was to the point and the chapters as well, especially the second half. The print was good with huge fonts and non-reflective pages. But few side-lines cannot be ignored, the initial pages seem to be dragging. The readers can easily guess the antagonist by reaching 80% of the story. After this point the readers might want the story to end soon though it isn’t.

Leaving the side-lines the story is a good read and thriller will live in the minds of readers. Ashwin’s fans will love it for sure. Give a try if you love thrillers.

    Hi,
Greater review. I had read Private India and wasn’t much impressed. It was too easily solved. So I am not sure about this one. Loved Sanghi’s previous novels though, like Krishna Key…
