J.K.Rowling’s The Tales of Beedle the Bard is out for Auction
Harry Potter the name has a never ending fan base. J.K.Rowling (Author of Harry Potter series) will make the headlines again. “The Tales of Beedle the Bard” was a limited edition story book written by J.K.Rowling. Harry Potter fans might be familiar with this name. For those not it is a children’s story book in the magical world of Harry Potter series.
One of seven copies of the original book will be out for auction this December from Sotheby’s. It is expected to fetch £ 500,000. Previously in the year 2007 another copy of this book has made £1.95 million in an auction by Amazon, which Rowling used as a fund for her charity, Lumos. The auction prize has set records in modern day Auction history. The second book is expected to break records. It is one of the precious items a Harry Potter fan might want to have.
In an interview to The Guardian Dr. Philip W. Errington, director of Sotheby’s books and manuscripts department told “The personal resonance of this book makes this both an exceptional and highly desirable object to come to auction. It is particularly special as it is only one of six made for those closest to the author throughout the journey of creating the Harry Potter series, gifted to the man who recognized the brilliance of JK Rowling’s writing and her potential impact on children’s literature.”
This book consists of five stories Rowling The Warlock’s Hairy Heart, The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, The Fountain of Fair Fortune, Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump and The Tale of the Three Brothers. Among the five “The Tale of the Three Brothers” was the only story included entirely in The Deathly Hallows.
