Goosebumps review: An emotional ride with a message. A must read for romantic and fiction lovers. The story is engaging and simple. Goosebumps guaranteed.(4.2 / 5)
This is the tenth book of Nikita Singh and the sequel of ‘Like a Love Song’. The prequel narrated the story of two girls Mahi and Laila from Mahi’s perspective whereas ‘Every Time it Rains’ narrates only about Laila.
Nikita is known for putting the readers in an emotional roller coaster and Every time it rains is not an exception. The novel pings the emotion in every reader. The pain that Laila undergoes after the shattered dreams speaks the reality. Laila’s love life was another emotional ride for the readers.
The novel was fast phased, the readers might not feel any lag in the story telling. From page one till the end the novel keeps everyone hooked. The suspense over Laila’s decision on her love was the top notch.
The language was lucid and Nikita never tried to over doss the readers. Though it’s a sequel one can find the story completely fresh and fulfilling, even if you haven’t read the prequel. A simple and engaging novel with some serious message.
