I have been addicted to Sidney Sheldon, Dan Brown and other foreign writers. I was not aware about the Indian writers till I got my hands on White Tiger by Arvind Adiga. There I realized India has many talented writers. Now I am the one of the millions who rushes to shops grab a copy of Indian novels when it hit the stores. Indian writers have their own style of narration Most of the Indian novels deals with emotions and character of human beings. . Here I have listed top 5 Indian writers whose books have made immense change in the hearts of millions. I am not going to number them I feel they are the best among the sea of Indian writers.

Today’s youngsters in India are influenced by his novels. The New York Times called him the ‘the biggest selling English language novelist in India’s history’. Time magazine named him amongst the ‘100 most influential people in the world’ and Fast Company, USA, listed him as one of the world’s ‘100 most creative people in business’.

His novels portray the pulse of the youth’s life. In my point of view the reason behind his success is his simple language and his versatility. One night at the call center and two states are his remarkable works. He is a revolutionary writer who reflected the thoughts of the nation through his work. His recent novel one indian girl is one of the bestselling novels in India.

Kiran Desai:

She is termed as a scientist of English fiction as she has done vivid experiments in narration of fiction. Her books deal mostly with human emotions. The right use of irony at right time had made her writings so popular. She is termed as a true writer of contemporary India.

This book has also won her many awards in English fiction and the prestigious Booker prize. Her works have open thoughts regarding equality and freedom irrespective of social background.
