Meesaya Murukku review:
Hip Hop Aadhi one of the celebrated personality among the youth of Tamil Nadu during the Jalikattu protest has directed his own life under Avni movies. The movie is a mixture of real life incidents with imagination peppered on.
The movie is one true inspiration especially for those who follows Hip Hop Aadhi. The screenplay is what drives the movie especially the Mass elements in the first half and sentiments colored with the reality in the second half.
The movie is a sure shot winner among the youths. The college life of Aadhi, though cinematic it is a kind of life students love to watch. The mass elements add extra fun to the scenes. Aadhi’s struggle to become an independent musician feels like a drag for a few minutes, but towards the end it excels. The climax is an inspirational reality. Tears are granted if you are a diehard fan of Aadhi.
As far as the cast is concerned Aadhi nails his role with lot of confidence. Haven’t seen such a confident performance by a debutant in the recent times. Kalaimamani Vivek is the right choice for Aadhi’s father character. It is one of the best characters he has done in the recent times. The speech on Tamil in the beginning is enough to plant his character in the hearts.
Aathmika as Nila has justified her role. She excels with her expressions and cuteness. RJ Vignesh as Aadhi’s best mate keeps the scenes lively. His one-liners are fun to watch. Almost all the Tamil You Tubers can be seen in the movie. They have been used to perfection.
The movie is musically strong as Aadhi himself has composed the music. Though there are too many songs, most of them go along the screenplay. The BGM in the mass scenes brings out whistles in the theater. Another aspect that strengthens the movie is the editing, especially the climax. Fenny Oliver has done an exceptional job.
Apart from few lagging scenes Meesaya Murukku is inspirational. Youth especially Aadhi’s followers will celebrate the movie. An inspirational entertainer.
