Chetan Bhagat’s ‘One Indian Girl’ all set to release

There is good news in store for Chetan Bhagat’s fans. Chetan’s 8th book will be releasing on 1st October this year. The teaser of the fiction ‘One Indian Girl’ is out in his official website. This time his novel has female centric story.

The teaser describes the book narrated by an Indian girl, Rathika Mehta.

“Hi, I’m Radhika Mehta and I’m getting married this week. I work in top investment bank. Thank you for reading my crazy story. However, let me warn you. You may not like me too much. One, I make a lot of money. Two, I have an opinion on everything. Three, I had sex before. Now, if I were a guy, you’d be cool with all this. Since I am a girl, these things don’t really make me too likeable, do they?” says the teaser.

Chetan has tweeted “Happy to share that my next book is called ‘One Indian Girl’ The teaser is here”

In an interview on his blog, Chetan says “One Indian Girl is about an Indian girl who is intelligent and successful, because of which she finds it difficult to get love. I have wanted to write a book in female first person for the past several years. Not only that, I wanted that book to be about women, and deal with feminism. To do all this as a male writer was a huge challenge.”

Twitter is already buzzing out with his fans’ tweets. The pre-order has already surpassed Harry Potter and Cursed Child’s pre-order sale in India. Bhagat’s fans will be celebrating this dewali with double dhamaka.
