Books for Children

istock-000007860143-kids-on-booksHappy Children’s Day dear kid readers. Children are very special in every aspect. A child becomes a protagonist or antagonist (lol) that’s in the hand of the society. Things they see and learn in their childhood stands till their death. We as grownups (Believing that the article is being read by a grownup. If you are a kid we are sorry :P) have huge responsibility in shaping them. Giving freedom to children helps them in learning new aspects of life.

This article is an extract from my reading experience. I have read many books in my childhood and more after my childhood. I have listed few books which children will like to read. These books will also help them learn new words and some good habits as well. If your kid is too small to read you can read it for them. They will love the book as well they will love you as a caring parent. Happy Parenting.

Charlotte’s Web by E.B.White:

A touching novel written by E.B.White and illustrated by Garth Williams. It was published in 1952 and revised versions will be available now. The story is about Wilbur a pig and Charlotte a barn spider. The farmer who brings up Wilbur decides to slaughter him. Charlotte understands the danger and starts writing messages for the farmer praising Pigs (to save Wilbur). This is one of the best books I have read.

The Hobbit by J.R.R.Tolkien:

An epic novel written by Tolkien, published in the year 1937. The novel is set in the pre-men era. It travels with Bilbo Baggins an adventure loving hobbit and his travel to acquire many treasure. This novel is a bit huge in size but worth a read. It enhances the vocabulary of the kids and improve their language. Off course they will love the travel of Bilbo.

Harry Potter series by J.K.Rowling:

The series doesn’t need an introduction. One of the world phenomenon and broke the sales record of every book. Harry Potter a wizard created by J.K.Rwoling goes to a school named Hogwart where he learns magic. But his life moves into mortal danger when he finds about an evil wizard named Voldemort. The novel series is set in magical world. Students will love it I bet. These novels adds values to your kids’ character and words to their vocabulary. There are totally 7 books in the series.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S.lewis:

The first of the seven novels in “The Chronicles of Narnia” written by C.S.Lewis is one of the widely held books by libraries around the world. This novel is about the adventure of four kids in a fantasy world called Narnia. The novel has got many fans all around the world. The fantasy world will definitely impress your kids.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl:

It is one of the famous books by Roald Dahl. The story is about Charlie Bucket a kid and his experience in a chocolate factory. The story is Roald Dahl’s impression about chocolate factories during his childhood. The book has got numerous fans around the globe.

Apart from the above mentioned novels you can also consider the following list to present your kids. They will love it.

  • Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
  • The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling
