India’s booker prize winners Arundhati Roy and Aravind Adiga have been nominated for the Yasnaya Polyana Literary Award. The award which was established in the 2003 is being supported by Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Estate of Leo Tolstoy and Samsung.
Arundhati Roy’s ‘God of Small Things’ and Aravind Adiga’s ‘White Tiger’ has been in the final list of nominees for the Foreign Literature award category. Both the books have received Man booker Prize in the year 1997 and 2008 respectively.
The Yasnaya Polyana Award is one of the notable awards by the Russian literature world. There are three main categories in which the award is being given: Modern Russian Prose, Foreign Literature and Event.
