Dangal the much spoken movie lately has brought the story of Phogat sisters to spotlight. The movie revolves around Mahavir Singh and his two daughters. But, in reality all the four sisters (Geeta, Babita, Ritu and Sangita) of Phogat family are wrestlers.Mahavir didn’t stop there, he has also trained his brother’s daughters Priyanka and Vinesh.

Were Geeta, Babita and Vinesh have won Gold medals in Commonwelath games in different categories; Priyanka has won Silver in Asian Championships. Ritu is a national champion and Sangita has won medals in age-level international championship.

It was a tuff journey for Mahavir Singh to take his daughters to world stage. His whole village was against him when he started training the girls. But he stuck on to his decision and go on to win the hearts of the same.
